Dynamic seals are used where two parts are moving relatively to each other. They seal between both parts and to the atmosphere side.
Translational sealing components make a linear sliding movement to each other.
For those application stuffing boxes, piston rings, bellows, brush seals, hydraulic seals or pneumatic seals are used.
When it comes to rotational relative movements of the sealing elements, rotary seals are used, e.g. stuffing boxes, radial shaft seals, axial shaft seals, mechanical seals or shaft lip seals.
Dynamic seals are available in a variety of different materials, such as: Polyurethane, NBR, H-NBR, FPM, EPDM, Silicones, TFE / P, PTFE, plastics. The materials can be used e.g. for applications in the chemical-, petrochemical-, food- and drug industries, for oil and gas applications and for acids and alkalis as well.
